Our Story
Katie is a double board-certified Critical Care Flight Paramedic who grew up in the Tri-Cities, WA. She developed a passion for EMS when she became a volunteer firefighter in college, and after serving as a Captain and EMT in Montana, she graduated from Paramedic School and eventually moved back to Washington to live closer to family.
Katie is a certified instructor and training provider for both the American Heart Association and American Red Cross, as well as a state lead EMT instructor, and a Mental Health Resilience Officer. She is also a fellow in the NAEMTs inaugural Lighthouse Leadership Program, and has worked as a paramedic in a variety of capacities across several states. Katie spends most of her free time with her three-legged dog and her two-legged siblings, and loves traveling the world and exploring new places. She hopes to one day be able to treat patients and teach people across international borders.
INDY MedEd was founded in late 2022, born from the desire to use the skills, experience, and knowledge of real-world emergency medicine response and practice to engage, empower, and educate the community at large.
INDY MedEd teaches to the standards of the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Our classes are designed to teach you critical knowledge and skills that will stay with you for a lifetime, and you will leave with the confidence to apply those skills in a variety of emergencies. We are available to teach various standard or custom courses to individuals, small groups and businesses, and even schools, churches, and larger organizations. We can teach at your location or ours, and will work with you to find training solutions that meet both your budget and educational goals.
Engage, empower, educate.
